Matt Welty

Vice President

Mr. Welty has been working in construction utility business since 2015. Prior to joining Pipe Strong in 2018, he worked for the MasTec subsidiary, 3Phase Line Construction. With a diverse background, Mr. Welty was encouraged to work within all departments at 3Phase Line Construction to help improve operational efficiencies. From the Fleet Department to the Legal Department Matt was able to bring various segments of the business together and improve profitability. Mr. Welty has worked for 3 different start-up utility constructions businesses from inception to profitability and has become a valued manager of a new company’s measured growth to maturity.

Mr. Welty holds a B.A. In Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Louisville, a J.D. from the University of Valparaiso School of Law and an M.B.A. from University of Valparaiso School of Business. As a former golf professional, he has served a member of several Board of Directors in the golf industry and is currently the President of Shady Oaks Country Club. In addition, he has worked with and volunteered for veterans support organizations such as the Veterans Legal Clinic at the John Marshall Law School. Matt is currently working on a project with veterans from Illinois to create a non-profit organization to help military veterans from rural communities in financial need.
